Vintage Flowers and Vines
Love the flowers on this cake, and they are so easy to make! Maybe I should do a tutorial on how to make them???
Autumn 30th Birthday Cake
This is definitely one of my favorite cakes. I got the idea from http://www.pinkcakebox.com. I love the colors and it was the first time I ever put numbers on the top. Every thing on this cake, even the pumpkins, are edible. Sorry about the poor picture quality! Hoping to get some better pictures of it soon!
The Little Mermaid
LOVED doing this one!! It’s very similar to the Nemo cake, but with a little more pink and purple 🙂 Everything on the cake is edible except for Ariel and Flounder.
Modern Mosaic
This was a ‘going away’ cake I made for my sister and brother-in-law. They are both into the modern look and I got the circles idea from some bedding. It may have looked a little better with white white icing instead of ivory, but I still thought it was pretty cool. I like the balls in between the cakes, that was the first time I had tried anything like that.
Humpty Dumpty/Nursery Rhyme Baby Shower
I was nervous about making this cake, I had never made anything like the big humpty dumpty before. I was so happy with how it turned out though. The fondant was being super cooperative and everything came out really smooth and clean cut. This cake is definitely one of my favorites.
Batman and Robin (Mostly Robin)
This cake was for a little boy who loved Robin, not Batman, just Robin. I thought that was the cutest thing ever. I love how cartoony this cake looks, and I was so excited when I realized I could make Solomon’s name into the bat symbol. It’s the little things that really make a cake special I think 🙂
Snowflakes and Snowmen
I just thought the snowmen on this cake were too adorable. I think one of them got eaten but I kept the other two long after we ate the cake. I think I might have had just a little bit too much going on with this one, but I still thought it was really cute.
Beauty and the Beast
I love Beauty and the Beast, and I loved having to watch the movie a few times so I could get a good idea of what the ballroom looked like. I tried some new techniques on this one…I really liked the way the marble pillars came out.
Garden Baby Shower
My sister-in-law’s baby shower cake. Cute and sweet 🙂
